CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -Police officers on the hunt for drugs may have busted up the city's largest graffiti rings. The drug warrant went down around 10:00 PM Thursday night at a home on Carlton Street, which is near Horne and Ayers.
There, officers found three guns, one of which was stolen, about two pounds of pot, packed for sale, along with five grams of cocaine and seven grams of meth.
Also seized, a number of graffiti instruments, graffiti documents and other graffiti paraphernalia.
Officers say, the inside of the home was actually tagged with the same graffiti that has plagued the 78415 zip code.
"Well some of it is possibly gang graffiti. It's definitely the tagging crew graffiti that is really prevalent around the city right now. A lot of times these tagging crews will evolve into gang members. And they are definitely in the narcotics distribution," says Lt. David Blackmon.
R****** T******, 22, a known graffiti vandal was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. He could be facing possible federal charges as well. Police say more arrest could be coming.
