MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- Three young men were arrested and charged with vandalism and evading arrest after they spray painted Riverdale High School and fled from police Sunday morning.

Police were called out to Riverdale High School Sunday after reports of three teenagers heading towards Riverdale High School with cans of spray paint. When officers arrived at the school they found 18-year-old N******* C****  sitting in car in front of the school. C**** told the officer that his friends, 19-year-olds J*** D******* and C**** M****, were inside the school spray painting graffiti.

When other officers arrived at the school, D****** and M**** fled the scene on foot. Police said D******* was quickly caught, but M**** jumped into the Stones River. The Rutherford County swift water rescue team was called out to assist Murfreesboro Police in locating McKee, who police had lost sight of in the water.

Police said after water rescue teams were unable to find the boy they contacted Verizon Wireless in hopes of finding M**** by using the GPS on his cell phone. After tracing the cell phone police located M**** at his mother's house on Stockton Drive.

Upon investigating the graffiti at Riverdale High School, police found the words "BMS" and "BLAZE" and racial slurs painted on the walls in fresh blue spray paint.

D****** and M**** were charged with vandalism and evading arrest. C**** was charged with criminal conspiracy. All three were booked into the Rutherford County Jail.
